How is Dental Prosthesis Made?

For prosthesis application, first oral care and control is applied. Gum diseases, abscess formation, tooth decay and tooth extraction are performed when necessary. Prosthesis cannot be applied until these procedures are completed. Otherwise, infection may become inevitable. After all the checks are carried out, dental prosthesis treatment begins. First, the inside mouth of the patient is measured. A custom-made prosthesis is prepared in the laboratory. A temporary prosthesis is applied to prevent sensitivity in the intervened teeth until the permanent dental prosthesis is installed. In this way, the reduced teeth are protected. The prosthesis is rehearsed and if it is compatible with the patient’s mouth, it is glued. One of the most important issues to consider when choosing a prosthesis model is color harmony. Especially for people who do not have many missing teeth, a color close to the natural tooth color should be chosen.
